15 Thompson St.
Kensington

Fixed rent, agreed price,
putting you in control

Just when it all seemed too complicated,
and so far out of reach, along comes
the Assemble Model – a different way to own your home.

Because at Assemble, we take a different
approach to home ownership. We believe
in people. In creating homes that are
made to last and to be lived in, not just
investments. In community and
belonging. In the freedom to choose.

15 Thompson St, Kensington gives you
exactly that. Our newest Assemble project
ups the ante with a curated central
courtyard and a rooftop area full of life
and activity.

It’s simple. Rent your home
while you save to buy it.

  1. Secure a five-year fixed rental price. Yes! Fixed! For five years! With an option to buy at the end.
  2. Agree on the future purchase price upfront and set a savings target.
  3. Begin your savings journey with our optional financial coaching service while we spend the next two years building.
  4. Call the removalists and move in — to your new environmentally sustainable home, alongside neighbours you'll get to know, building a community together for keeps.
  5. Fast forward five years. Still loving it? Make the keys your own! For that original agreed price.

If work, love or life takes you elsewhere? No worries, freedom to leave with nothing to lose.

We keep
coming back
to Kensington

There’s something about this beguiling little pocket and its mix of neighbourhood charm, local characters and industrial grit that has us head over heels.

It’s where we want to live and we think you will, too.

Introducing 15 Thompson St – the newest Assemble community and our second Kensington address.

With the geniuses at Hayball Architects bringing our vision to life, we’re creating more than just a building. We’re creating a community – and a new hub for Kensington.

Meet Fenella
& Lee

Fenella and her husband Lee
Fenella was so desperate to buy a house, she spent more than a month on a deserted island as a contestant in last year’s Australian Survivor reality TV show.
Fenella and her husband, Lee wanted to stay in Kensington — “It’s two stops out of the city and yet has a little country feel to it” — but real estate prices here made their dream of home ownership feel like a fantasy.
Then the couple heard about the Assemble path to home ownership and are set to move into 393 Macaulay Rd, Assemble’s first Kensington project next year.
“The idea of trying before you buy and knowing what we are saving up for makes everything a bit more attainable.”
